Vivian Highton owns VLW, a boutique consulting firm focused on improving employees' lives and increasing companies' bottom lines. Her work in the fields of strategy and business development over the past 15 years includes being at a Forbes “America’s Top Companies,” where she was responsible for national sales and international medical meetings, and overseeing strategic initiatives at one of the nation’s oldest foundations dedicated to science advancement. Vivian brings a wealth of diverse experience ranging from national arts and education to healthcare and science research. Her specialty is seeing patterns in the market or business to capture opportunities and create sales. She enjoys envisioning possibilities--especially in high-growth businesses--while setting decisional boundaries with goals, possible risks, or blind spots in strategy and business development. When not involved in learning about the latest research discoveries, Vivian volunteers with refugee groups, and hikes, and has long-term admiration for the public library system. Translating science research is an inspiring area where Vivian is looking forward to focusing on a growth mindset and finding opportunities for new businesses at FORGE.
