Josh Nagao
Dr. Joshua Nagao, DDS earned his dental degree from The Ohio State University, graduating first in his class clinically. He purchased a dental office 6 months after graduating and has since merged two other offices into his practice. In the time he has been practicing, Dr. Nagao has developed a passion for dental surgery, including implant placements, sedation dentistry, and complex reconstructions. He has invested over 1800 hours in continuing education over the last 5 years to better the lives of his patients and has realized how important the continuing education process is for dentists, especially new graduates. This continuing education journey sparked an interest in teaching which has become one of his Passions.
Dr. Nagao has been the most recent graduate mentor at Implant Pathway since 2019. He began teaching implant surgery only 4 years after graduation. During this time he has mentored hundreds of doctors in their implant journey. When New Horizon Dental Center became an accredited residency program through NYU Langone, Dr. Nagao became the faculty of the residency and has been overseeing resident training in the clinic as well as hosting a weekly treatment planning module. Dr. Nagao is also a contributing author to Implant Practice US magazine. Dr. Nagao is a Diplomate on the American Board of Oral Implantology.
Dr. Nagao maintains membership and an active role in the American Dental Association, Arizona Dental Association, International Congress of Oral Implantologists (Fellowship Status), AAID (Fellow Status), ABOI (Diplomat Status), and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He also maintains dental and mobile sedation licenses in Utah and Arizona as well as certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
