Colin Blakely

Colin Blakely currently serves as Associate Vice President for Strategic Initiatives of Arizona Arts and Director of the School of Art at the University of Arizona. Prior to joining the University of Arizona in July 2015, he was Department head and Full Professor of Photography at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI, where he was on the faculty for 14 years.

Colin has served on the strategic planning team for the university and has been involved with budget planning as a member of the RCM 3-Year Budget Review Committee. During his time at Eastern Michigan University, Colin was heavily involved at the university level, serving as past Chair of both the University Budget Council and the Academic Department Administrators of the College of Arts and Sciences, and as a member on both the College and University Strategic Planning Committees. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the College Art Association (as Secretary) and the National Council of Arts Administrators (as Treasurer).
