Antoine Cason
Born and raised in Long Beach California, Antoine Cason was consistently told he was too small to succeed in football. Determined to persevere and succeed, he transferred high school from Long Beach Poly to Los Alamitos to play football. He earned a scholarship to the University of Arizona and had a lasting effect on the football program, with record-breaking moments, inspiring leadership, and community outreach helping change the history of Arizona sports. Cason graduated from UArizona with a Political Science degree and a double minor in African American studies and Regional Development. Among other notable accolades and accomplishments, he was a 4X All-American, won the coveted Jim Thorpe Award in his senior year (given to the best defensive back in college football), was inducted into UArizona Ring of Honor, has his jersey retired, was selected in the first round of the 2008 NFL draft, and was inducted into the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame. Before, during, and after his 7-year NFL career it is evident that his mental fortitude helped him succeed - proving that if you believe in yourself and commit to the process, your reach truly is unlimited. This mindset became the inspiration for his brand, Reach Unlimited. He wants to encourage you to do the same.
In addition to his notable football career at UArizona, he also competed on the track and field team and was an All-American. While he was making an impact on the field, his contributions to the community were just as important to him. He served on numerous student-athlete leadership committees and visited and talked with many of the elementary, middle, and high school students about striving for more and believing that their possibilities are limitless. With his deep ties to the community, he orchestrated a fundraising effort in his senior year to honor his grandfather with the Cason Cares campaign. Cason Cares was the first and only time an NCAA athlete was able to use his name, image, and likeness (NIL) to raise money (Before NIL was implemented in 2021). Antoine and his best friend Matt Brooks sold wristbands with the slogan “Cason Cares” on them around campus and in the community to raise money for cancer research (Cason’s grandfather died of Leukemia MDS in 2007). The two were able to raise 5k and presented a check to the Arizona chapter of the American Cancer Society at a UArizona basketball game. Antoine is passionate about helping others by investing and helping in his community through various avenues.
Following his playing career, Antoine obtained a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Miami and has been part of many successful business ventures since then. Currently, Cason serves as a board member for Why’d You Stop Me, in Long Beach, California. This organization assists with events and programs to increase transparency in policing in an effort to eliminate acts of violence between law enforcement and the community. He also serves as an NFL Play 60 volunteer through the Los Angeles Chargers empowering the next generation of youth to be the most physically active, and healthy and reiterating the importance of education. Cason is also a volunteer coach for his son “AC” youth sports teams. Taking that knowledge and experience and combining it with his passion for design, fashion, and growth, he is excited to launch Reach Unlimited.
As a proud University of Arizona alum Antoine offers an exclusive collegiate collection within the brand featuring the University of Arizona. But you don’t need to be a Wildcat to embrace what Reach Unlimited represents. Put it on, be inspired, reach for more, embrace your truth, and you’ll see!
