After seeing all of the great ideas submitted to the #BearDownMaskUp Challenge, FORGE is back with an exciting, new challenge! In collaboration with the College of Engineering, we are proud to present the Engineer Your World Challenge

Virtual classrooms have become the new normal, and we are looking for tech solutions that allow instructors to use 3D models in a virtual learning classroom setting. From effectively delivering remote labs to facilitating group design projects, we seek solutions that will be relevant after COVID-19.

Three winning teams will receive a bursar’s credit of $1,000 as well as coaching and resources to bring their ideas to life in Spring 2021.

Ready to jump in? Sign up to gain access to the challenge Discord server. Once there, you will be able to discuss ideas with like-minded individuals and form a team of 2-4 students.

Teams will collaborate over the winter break with help from expert mentors to develop ideas into concepts that are attractive to stakeholders. Projects will be evaluated on clear identification of the problem, team collaboration, comprehensiveness, feasibility, and creativity. Judges will award bonus points for academically diverse teams, utilizing existing technologies, and producing a solution within a $25,000 budget.

The Engineer Your World Challenge offers a chance to make a true and meaningful impact on teaching and learning across the University of Arizona and beyond. We look forward to seeing your creativity in action!
