Get Involved in the #BearDownMaskUp Challenges
Greetings from FORGE! Since we announced the winners of the #BearDownMaskUp Challenge, the winning teams have been hard at work bringing their ideas to life. Today we are excited to share their projects in their own words. By participating in these activities, you are showing your support for your fellow students, Wildcat innovation and campus-wide health initiatives.
Bear Down and Mask Up!
University Pen Pals
Are you an international student or a student learning remotely looking for campus connections with peers?
The University Pen Pals program creates community while socially distanced. The program pairs international and remote students with on-campus pen pals. Pairs can then connect through writing letters, emailing and/or participating in Zoom calls. The University Pen Pals program will provide a way for international and remote students to make connections to students on campus without risk of exposure to COVID-19.
If you are interested in participating in this program, please fill out the respective form to be matched with another student.

Bear Down Scavenger Hunt
We at Bear Down Scavenger Hunt want to get students up and moving during the pandemic. We’re passionate about the safety of our community, so we have created a socially distant activity that promotes mask-wearing on campus and allows students to explore the main University of Arizona campus.
Every week on Instagram, Bear Down Scavenger Hunt posts a photo of a secret location on campus. Students post a masked selfie at the location for a chance at prizes!
Follow beardown_scavengerhunt on Instagram for the rules and this week’s hunt!
Wildcats Indoors but Not Bored
Wildcats Indoors but Not Bored wants to help you and your friends beat boredom. We understand that life is different, and you may not see your friends as frequently as you'd like. So, why just text when you can connect? Wildcats Indoors but Not Bored will provide you and your friends with unique and low-cost activities that will preserve your mental and social health.
Grab a group of friends or bring your campus organization into the challenge to pass that extra free time meaningfully.
Get a group of any size together or get your campus organization involved to compete against other groups. Win prizes, stay connected and beat boredom!
To get in on the challenge email us at indoorsnotbored@gmail.com with the names of your group members and your group lead’s contact info.
#WhoDoYouMask4
We are launching the #WhoDoYouMask4 Instagram challenge to show how Wildcats are staying safe not only for themselves but for our community. With flu season here, and COVID-19 cases again on the rise, it is more important than ever that we encourage our loved ones to wear a mask and maintain physical distancing practices. Together, we shall conquer the pandemic and come out strong and united.
Participants will have the opportunity to win prizes. The first round of the challenge will begin on Wednesday, November 4.

In the meantime, be well, stay well, and Bear Down!
Sincerely,
Brian Ellerman
