Emily Ruiz

Emily was born and raised in central California and received her B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Management and Business Economics from UC Merced. After her experiences working for campus programs as an undergraduate, she is pursuing a Master's in Higher Education. Emily is excited to step out of her comfort zone and learn new skills. She hopes to become a Coordinator or Director of a university program focused on student success and retention. Her favorite thing about the University of Arizona is the school spirit. When not working or studying, Emily likes to play video games, catch up on the latest anime, and explore the outdoors. For Emily, an "entrepreneurial mindset" means bringing your ideas and creativity to life. At FORGE, she looks forward to gaining new skills and knowledge to help students become the best version of themselves, meet new people, and explore ideas!
