Erika Mitnik
Erika joins FORGE with over 20 years of diverse marketing experience. Erika began her career analyzing advertising for Fortune 500 companies. At VMS/VoiceTrak, she worked to integrate Nielsen television and Arbitron radio data into media spend analytics. She headed up the QA team at Communicus Research, using longitudinal studies to quantify the impact that campaigns generate on brands. After extensive work with National advertisers, Erika shifted focus to growing and strengthening Arizona companies. She became the Southern Arizona Director for Local First Arizona, a nonprofit for Arizona community and economic development. As Director, she worked with thousands of Arizona business owners to bring trade shows to Tucson, promote business support services and manage outreach and events. Erika served on the City of Tucson Commission for Food Security and Heritage to make policy recommendations. She was one of the founders of the Arizona Living Economy Forum, a conference dedicated to building and sustaining new economy models. Erika has consulted for several local businesses and nonprofits, including the Desert Angels and Historic Fourth Avenue Coalition. Erika is a longtime Arizonan with a degree in Media Studies from the University of Arizona and a certification in Digital Marketing through the American Marketing Association. Erika is deeply invested in downtown community development and helped manage the building of grant funded infrastructure as part of the Iron Horse Neighborhood council. She serves on the board of the nonprofit Tucson City of Gastronomy organization where she is an inaugural member.
