Today, we take a moment to update you on some exciting changes in how FORGE has grown, in people and programs, over the last few months.
FORGE at UA: Coming this Fall!
Cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset in all UArizona students!
Over the academic year, students work to solve business problems in areas such as Engineering, Health, Education, Sustainability, Arts. FORGE at UA will be kicking off this fall with a Corporate Innovation Challenge, a series of events that use a design-centered approach to teach problem solving and cultivate the entrepreneurial mindset in participants.
Now, meet the newest member of the FORGE team!
Chéri Winfield joined the FORGE team in March as our Executive Assistant and Office Manager. In this role, Chéri will apply over two decades of administrative and office management experience to help manage the FORGE at Roy Place office and oversee administrative tasks for the unit.
Most recently, Chéri served as the Administrative Associate to the Director of the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory at the University of Arizona.
Previously, she spent 14 years working in administrative and office support at Raytheon Missile Systems. Chéri started her career in Germany where she cultivated her skills as an Office Manager with the Federal Government for 5 years.
We are excited to see how Chéri will tailor her technical and administrative skills to meet the needs of the students, startups, and corporate partners vital to the FORGE mission.
