The TENWEST Impact Festival has wrapped, but our work in building a thriving and diverse entrepreneurial ecosystem is just beginning!

The 10 days were packed full of so many valuable (and varied) sessions from storytelling workshops to the future of workforce. Huge shoutout to our friends and partners at Startup Tucson and TENWEST. Great work!

Catch the full recap of IdeaFunding winners and competition highlights in this article.

If we had to pick a favorite moment, it was hearing Allie Burns, CEO of Village Capital, bring the house down with her keynote address at the IdeaFunding luncheon.

We might be a bit biased since we were the sponsors who brought Allie back to her hometown of Tucson, but gauging from all the feedback we heard, many of you were equally impressed.

Allie delivered a powerful lesson for startup investors and leaders to reimagine how capital can be distributed in ways that promote equity and solve real problems in health, education, and climate change.

"Consider making decisions differently. At Village Capital, we have a radically different model. We put investment decisions in the hands of entrepreneurs … and the results are dramatically different. 46% of our companies are founded or co-founded by women, 20% by people of color, and 100% are focused on solving problems that matter most to people living healthy and productive lives."

Forge couldn't be more proud of our budding partnership with this outstanding organization.

We are excited to announce that we are bringing the Village Capital Communities Curriculum to Tucson through our business incubator!!

Learn more about the curriculum and apply to Forge today! Applications are closing soon!
